Unlike many companies involved in design, web site creation, and web-based communications, StJohn Group also has deep experience in marketing and a maturity in professional communications. Begun in 1995 by Kevin Leja, StJohn Group was at the forefront of digital communications at an early stage.
From his vantage point of 8 years at Sonance (the in-wall speaker company that defined the early shape of the Audio/Video custom installation marketplace), Kevin has personally participated in building this category. He spent five years as Director of Marketing. The last two years there were spent as Director of Business Development, researching and developing new markets for in-wall speakers, resulting in the first full line of in-wall speakers and accessories - HomeTech - for the Do It Yourself category.
Since leaving Sonance in 1997, Kevin has developed a successful design, marketing, and advertising company. He has led the charge in defining new pathways for Consumer Electronics (CE) companies to market themselves on the World Wide Web - including Speakercraft, Assured Systems, CEBIZ and numerous independent custom installers - with custom and turnkey web site strategies.
His crusade is to empower companies through web-based e-commerce, database-centric, and IT-based solutions. Kevin's web development work and the intelligent application of the web's capabilities to sales and marketing has served clients outside the CE industry, as well, including The Center for Due Diligence, American Sterling Corporation, Prentice Technologies, and United Agencies Insurance Group.
